ITS Column Analysis and Design (Ver. 3.0.0)

After some amount of time the ITS Column Analysis and Design (ITS-CAD) is reaching its Version 3.0.0. A lots of improvement is added, yet it is still not yet able to be redistributed. It is still far from being able to publish worldwide. Note the GUI and Engine is now separated and has its own version. In the future both version is not the same. This is due to deploying the GUI takes some times while the Engine is developed surprisingly very fast. A dynamic link library (dll) in which can be used by using VS Console Program (VB or VC#) and some documentation will be provided in the near future. Below some improvement on ITS-CAD and its Engine.

OCTAVE 3.8.1 Windows – Alternatif Software MATLAB dengan GUI

Bagi rekan-rekan dan para mahasiswa baik yang sedang riset maupun mengerjakan tugasnya dengan menggunakan MATLAB, ada baiknya mencoba software OCTAVE 3.8.1 yang bersifat freeware. Hal ini tentu akan lebih bermanfaat dibandingkan dengan menggunakan software MATLAB yang sangat mahal dan tidak terjangkau kecuali oleh Institusi yang sudah memiliki license dalam bentuk Network. Akhirnya banyak para mahasiswa yang menggunakan software ilegal yang bisa menjadi masalah pada saat publikasi. Hal ini perlu disadari dan mungkin akan lebih baik jika para mahasiswa menggunakan software-sofware yang bersifat freeware tetapi memiliki kemampuan yang sama dengan yang berbayar dalam tingkatan tertentu.

Punya Masalah Dalam Mensikronisasi File…?

Setelah beberapa waktu bekerja dengan dua laptop (Toshiba Portege + Vaio Fit 14) dan HP Workstation di UNSW rasanya kok capek juga ya lama-lama ngopy file  kesana-kemari. Akhirnya browsing dapat sebuah freeware yang sangat bagus dan dapat membedakan mana file yang baru dan yang lama, selain itu  juga memberitahukan kepada kita akan terjadi konflik kalau pada dua platform ada file yang sama dimana pada kedua platform tersebut sudah terupdate secara sendiri-sendiri. Hal ini tentu akan sangat membantu sehingga file yang seharusnya digunakan tidak tertimpa oleh file yang lama atau tidak terupdate. Saya sudah mencoba selama 5 bulan dan tidak pernah mendapatkan masalah.

TEKNOLOGI BETON DALAM PRAKTEK I [Edisi 1]

Material beton merupakan salah satu material yang paling banyak digunakan dalam dunia konstruksi di Indonesia. Hal ini dikarenakan beberapa keuntungan dari material beton itu sendiri yang bila ditinjau dari segi bentuk akan sangat mudah dicetak dan disesuaikan dengan keingingan serta harganya yang murah dibandingkan dengan struktur yang menggunakan material baja. Namun demikian salah satu permasalahan yang sering muncul adalah kontrol kualitas mutu beton dilapangan seringkali tidak sesuai dengan yang diinginkan karena kurangnya pemahaman serta keilmuan para pelaksana dilapangan. Hal ini bisa dalam bentuk wujud pengerjaan yang tidak baik, kontrol kualitas yang buruk, pemakaian material yang tidak sesuai dan lain sebagainya. Nah untuk menghindari hal tersebut ada baiknya kita menambah ilmu pengetahuan melalui sumber-sumber yang mudah dipahami dan aplikatif dalam pelaksanaannya di lapangan.

ITS Column Analysis and Design V2.0.0 [ARCHIVE 2010]

          ITS Column Analysis 2009 is a program that will be a match with CSICOL 8.30, this program is improvement from PiscesaCol 1.05 and ITS Column Analysis 1.06. This program still under development, many Code’s could be used in this program especially Indonesian Code SNI 2847-2002. Unified Design Provision which is avalaible in ACI 318-02 or earlier would be camparable with later Provision (“Limit State Method”). This Program was scheduled finish in 2010… (Hopefully before I continued My Doctorate Programs).

ITS STRUT AND TIE MODEL ANALYSIS AND DESIGN [ARCHIVE -2009]

          ITS Strut and Tie Model VB.Net 2005, was My Final Thesis in ITS. This program is similiar with CAST (Computer Aided Strut and Tie) developed by Tjen Tjhin and Daniel Kuchma. Unfortunately this program offer more analysis feature in analyzing STM Model of Reinforced Concrete Structure or Elements such as Optimization of STM Model using Strength Based Optimization rather than Minimum Energy Approach so the Optimal Design of STM Model should be satisfied enough, Deformation was calculated using Cracking Section of STM Model. This program still under development and more improvement will be done in the future.

ITS Response Spectrum Analysis – [ARCHIVE 2007]

         This program was written due to finish the Advanced Steel Structure Lecture in my master degree. This program analyze the response spectrum of SDOF structure with according Time History of Earth Quake. This program can analyze the displacement, velocity, acceleration of elastic SDOF and inelastic SDOF. Can show when the SDOF Structure is yielding with varied ductility. This program was written in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0. In this program SDOF with varied damping and the yielding of SDOF Structure is shown.

ITS MIX DESIGN ACI 211.1 [ARCHIVE 2007]

          ITS MIX DESIGN ACI 211.1 was a program that calculate the mix design based on ACI 211.1 (Standard Practice for selecting proportions for Normal, Heavyweight, and Mass Concrete). This program was intended for learning only, that’s why it was student version. In this version the program could only used 180 times in one computer and after that it will locked automatically unless you reinstall the windows.

ITS Structure Analysis 2007 – [ARCHIVE 2007]

         This program was written due to finish the Finite Element Method Lecture in my master degree. This program was created with 3D Frame Analysis and the load is applied as point load in structure element joint. The frame section is shown as  rectangular or other shape but the section property is still manually configured. This program has been verified with SAP 2000 also with 3D Frame Analysis. This program was written in Microsoft Visual Basic.Net 2005 Express and engine of the program is Written in MATLAB 7.1.

DESIGN OF CIRCULAR SHORT COLUMN WITH SLENDERNESS – PISCESACOL V1.05 [ARCHIVE 2006]

A short column with bending in X-Axis direction will be design using PiscesaCol 1.05 and PCACOL V3.00, then the result of each application will be compared to ensure the result from PiscesaCol 1.05 can be used safely in design. Circular Column with diameter 500 mm, the load applied in columns consist of uniaxial bending in X Axis about 260 kNm and Axial Load consist of 450 kN with Concrete Compressive Strength (f’c) 40 MPa and Reinforcement Steel Yield Strength 400 MPa.
